1. PROXY.
2. In school, when you woke up late, you’d get the day off. In college, if you wake up late, your mom will be like “Attend the rest of the classes”. Sucks.
3. In school, if you wanted to get out early, you had to write an application saying how you had to go to the dentist and get it signed by the officials etc. In college, you can walk out whenever you feel like, LIKE A BOSS.
4. Getting your mobile phone to school meant finding secret pockets in your bag to hide it, using it in the loo, hiding it in your socks and all that. Getting your mobile phone to college means using it in the middle of the class, LIKE A BOSS.. again.
5. Contradictory to school where teachers had to make sure they sat in class irrespective of whether people wanted to study or not, teachers in college just don’t take lectures if people don’t want to study. (Teachers also don’t come to class if no one is attending, unlike school where the teacher used to threaten to take everyone to the Principal etc.)
6. You can wear almost anything to college and get away with it. If you wore even flip flops instead of shoes to school, Ms. Amit Kaur/ Ms. Veena Seth would make you run about the school bare foot.
7. You actually had to buy books in school..
8. Contents of a school bag: BOOKS AND NOTEBOOKS | Contents of a college bag: A lousy notebook, earphones, iPod, Chewing gum, coins and tenners..
9. There was actually a time when you used to return back home form school. In college, that time varies from 9 am to 9 pm, depending upon desire to attend classes and formulation of plans in college.
10. [Insert something about tuitions but I cannot since I have tuitions in college too, but free feel to mentally jot down a point about the lack of tuitions in college]
11. (For Dipsites) College canteens >>> FX
That is all.
* If you don't know who Ms. Amit Kaur/ Ms. Veena Seth are, just think of the strict Physical Education teacher of your school who was ALWAYS pissed.
You can wear almost anything to college and get away with it? What about shorts?
ReplyDeleteThis is a post about college in general, not just my college :)
